MANI #12 - STRIPES
Haha, I've been so busy so often trying to catch up with my manis, my Hubby actually asks me first thing in the morning: "So what design are you going to do today?" ::giggles:: Frankly, I find that rather adorable! At this point I'm two manis behind, so I actually already started prepping for the next one (which yes, made me cry a little tear because I personally LOVED this one!). I have so much fun using striping tape and I had been wanting to try out a fishnet design for quite a while, so I knew right away what I wanted to do for stripes!
Here are the polishes I used....
From Left to Right -
- Julep - Cleopatra (latex finish)
- Bondi New York - Fuschia-istic
*Not Shown: Bondi New York - I'm Vers (base and topcoat)
For this mani I started with one coat of I'm Vers as a base and a single coat of Cleopatra as a black base. After that dried I then placed striping tape diagonally across one way, then diagonally across the opposite way for the fishnet pattern, followed by two coats of Fuschia-istic, letting the first coat dry completely before applying the second. Once the second coat became a bit tacky, I then pulled the striping tape off. After than dried I then used small circular rhinestones for the center three crosses of the net pattern. I used light pink rhinestones on my pointer, middle and pinky finger and clear on my ring finger. It's so funny though, because in the pictures you can't quite tell a difference between the clear and light pink! I finished it up with 2 coats of I'm Vers as a shiny topcoat!
Coming up to a favorite of mine! ANIMAL PRINT!
Happy Makeuping and Polishing!
